Palworld Mobile Boss Locations Guide
Every boss on the Palpagos Islands mapped out — Tower Bosses, Field Bosses (Alpha Pals), Legendary Pals, and Dungeon Bosses with coordinates, level ranges, rewards, and proven strategies.
Boss Types Explained
Palworld Mobile features four distinct categories of bosses, each with unique mechanics, spawn rules, and rewards. Understanding the difference is critical to planning your boss hunting route efficiently.
- Tower Bosses — Story bosses found inside five faction towers scattered across the map. Each tower is a instanced arena battle against a powerful human-like boss with an elite Pal companion. Tower Bosses do not respawn — they are one-time encounters per save file. Defeating all five is required to reach the endgame.
- Field Bosses (Alpha Pals) — Oversized, glowing Pals that spawn at fixed locations in the open world. They are marked on the map with a unique skull-and-crossbones icon once you discover them. Field Bosses respawn after a set cooldown (approximately one in-game day). Each one drops an Ancient Civilization Part and a rare schematic on the first kill.
- Legendary Pals — The rarest and most powerful Pals in the game. Only four Legendary Pals exist, each tied to a specific biome and set of conditions. They are the only source of Legendary-tier schematics and have extremely low capture rates.
- Dungeon Bosses — Randomly generated boss encounters inside the game's procedural dungeons. The boss type and element vary per dungeon run. Dungeon Bosses are farmable and drop mid-to-high tier loot and Pal oil.
Each boss category requires a different approach. Tower Bosses test your gear and Pal team composition. Field Bosses are about positioning and knowing when to engage. Legendary Pals demand near-perfect preparation and a lot of Pal Spheres. Farm the easier bosses first to build up your Ancient Civilization Parts for the Legendary Sphere and high-end armor.
Tower Bosses
There are five Tower Bosses in Palworld Mobile. They appear on the map as large tower icons. You must approach the tower entrance and interact with the door to enter the boss arena. Below is the full list with locations, recommended levels, and effective counter-types.
| Boss | Faction | Location | Rec. Level | Weak To |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Zoe & Grizzbolt | Rayne Syndicate | Plateau of Beginnings (south-central island) | 10-15 | Ground |
| Lily & Lyleen | Free Pal Alliance | Eastern island, sealed realm tower | 20-25 | Fire |
| Marcus & Faleris | PIDF | Fort Ruins, northern desert region | 35-40 | Ice |
| Victor & Shadowbeak | Eternal Pyre | No. 3 Wildlife Sanctuary, volcanic island | 45-50 | Dragon |
| Axel & Orserk | Brothers of the Eternal Flame | Mount Obsidian summit, lava caldera | 45-50 | Ground |
Zoe & Grizzbolt is the first Tower Boss you should attempt. The tower is visible from the starting spawn point — head northeast across the grassy plains until you see the tall stone structure. Grizzbolt is an Electric type, so bring Ground-type Pals like Fuddler or Dumud for damage resistance. A level 12 team with Primitive Bow and Cloth Armor is sufficient. The main mechanic to watch for is Grizzbolt's spinning Gatling attack — dodge roll perpendicular to the spin direction to avoid the full damage volley.
Lily & Lyleen on the eastern island is a Grass-type encounter. Fire Pals deal double damage here. Foxparks, Rooby, and Arsox are excellent choices. Lyleen has a healing aura that restores a portion of its HP every few seconds — you need sustained DPS to outpace the heal. Bring Burn-inflicting Pals or fire arrows to apply the Burn status, which cuts the healing rate in half. The fight is much easier if you have unlocked the Fire Bow schematic from the first desert dungeon.
Marcus & Faleris in the northern desert is a substantial difficulty spike. Faleris is a Fire/Flying type. Ice Pals such as Univolt, Foxcicle, or Vanwyrm are your best bet. The desert tower is surrounded by high-level Syndicate patrols — approach from the east cliff path to avoid aggro. Faleris uses dive-bomb attacks that leave a burning AoE on the ground. Keep moving and use ranged attacks. Stock at least 50 Hyper Spheres and bring a flying Pal for escape if the fight goes sideways.
Victor & Shadowbeak and Axel & Orserk are the two endgame Tower Bosses at level 45-50. Both require full Metal Armor (refined), Advanced Bow or early firearms, and a team of Pals leveled to at least 42. Shadowbeak is Dark/Dragon — Dragon Pals have the edge. Orserk is Electric/Dragon — bring Ground or Dragon types. These towers are located on the volcanic island and Mount Obsidian respectively. Use heat-resistant armor for the zone travel and swap to combat gear inside the arena.
Field Bosses (Alpha Pals)
Field Bosses are oversized, gold-glowing versions of normal Pals that patrol fixed spawn points. Unlike Tower Bosses, they respawn after roughly 24 in-game hours (about 45 minutes real-time). You can farm them repeatedly for Ancient Civilization Parts, rare schematics, and high-quality Pal drops. Each Field Boss has a distinct appearance on the map — a large red-and-white icon with crossed Palspheres.
There are over 20 Field Bosses in Palworld Mobile. Below are the most important early-to-mid game ones you should target first for maximum efficiency.
| Alpha Pal | Level | Location | Key Drop |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chillet | 11 | Icewind Isle, central frozen lake | Ancient Civilization Part, Pal Oil |
| Grizzbolt | 17 | No. 1 Wildlife Sanctuary, northeast beach | Electric Organ, Large Pal Soul |
| Penking | 15 | Desolate Church ruins, southwest coast | Ice Organ, Ancient Civilization Part |
| Kingpaca | 23 | Palm Tree Grove, central east coast | High Quality Cloth, Cotton Candy |
| Elizabee | 28 | Bee Hive Fields, northwest grassy plateau | Honey, Rare Schematic (Sparkler) |
| Menasting | 35 | Twisted Caverns, mid-west canyon | Venom Gland, Ancient Civilization Part |
| Astegon | 45 | Mount Obsidian lava caves, deep interior | Pure Quartz, Legendary Schematic (Astral Bow) |
| Jormuntide Ignis | 47 | Volcanic Island, magma falls lagoon | Flame Organ, Blazehorn Horn |
Early-game Alpha Pals (levels 11-17): Chillet is the easiest Field Boss and an excellent warm-up. It is found on the frozen lake in Icewind Isle (central map). Chillet is Ice type — Fire Pals and fire arrows tear through it. Bring 10-15 regular Pal Spheres. Grizzbolt (the field version) spawns on the northeastern beach of No. 1 Wildlife Sanctuary. It is the same Pal as the first Tower Boss but weaker and farmable. Defeating it gives you access to early Electric Organs for crafting shock arrows and stun traps.
Mid-game Alpha Pals (levels 23-35): Kingpaca, Elizabee, and Menasting are gatekeepers to the mid-game gear upgrades. Kingpaca drops High Quality Cloth needed for Cold Resistant armor. Elizabee has a chance to drop the Sparkler schematic — a powerful early ranged weapon. Menasting in the Twisted Caverns is the first Field Boss that requires a strategy beyond brute force. It spawns poisonous pools under its feet — fight it from range and use Ground-type Pals to resist the poison damage over time.
Late-game Alpha Pals (levels 45+): Astegon and Jormuntide Ignis are the hardest Field Bosses outside of Legendary Pals. Astegon is a Dragon/Ground type found deep inside Mount Obsidian's lava cave system. Bring Ice Pals and wear Heat Resistant Armor to survive the approach. Jormuntide Ignis is a massive Fire/Dragon serpent that patrols the magma lagoon on the volcanic island. Its breath attack covers a wide cone — stay behind the large rock pillars in the arena to break line of sight. These two drops include some of the best Legendary-tier schematics in the game, including the Astral Bow and the Inferno Shield.
Legendary Pals
There are exactly four Legendary Pals in Palworld Mobile. They are the ultimate endgame targets and require endgame gear, max-level Pals, and dozens of top-tier Pal Spheres. Each Legendary Pal has a specific spawn location and will not move or despawn once engaged. You can save-scum the encounter: manual save before the fight, reload if it runs away or you fail to capture it.
| Legendary Pal | Level | Location | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| Frostallion | 50 | Astral Mountains summit, far north | Ice |
| Jetragon | 50 | Volcanic Island crater, lava lake center | Fire / Dragon |
| Paladius | 50 | No. 3 Wildlife Sanctuary, central altar | Neutral |
| Necromus | 50 | No. 3 Wildlife Sanctuary, central altar | Dark |
Frostallion is arguably the most iconic Legendary Pal. It is a majestic ice horse that flies and deals massive Ice damage. To reach its spawn point on the Astral Mountains summit, you will need full Cold Resistant armor (at least the refined set with Cold Resistant +2 or higher). Frostallion is weak to Fire — bring a fully condensed Foxparks or a Blazehowl Noct for maximum damage. The fight takes place on a narrow peak with lethal fall damage, so avoid knockback moves. Use Legendary Spheres for the highest capture chance.
Jetragon is the fastest flying Pal in the game and a must-have for late-game exploration. It patrols the lava crater on the volcanic island. Approach from the north cliff and glide down to avoid aggroing the level 48-49 Fire Pals surrounding the crater. Jetragon is part Dragon — Ice Pals deal quadruple damage thanks to the double weakness. A single Ice Pal with four-star condensing can take half its HP if you time the partner skill activation properly.
Paladius and Necromus share the same spawn location at No. 3 Wildlife Sanctuary's central altar. They spawn together and must be fought simultaneously — one is Neutral type (Paladius) and the other is Dark (Necromus). This is the hardest fight in the game. Bring a balanced team of at least six level 50 Pals. Dark Pals resist Necromus and deal neutral damage to Paladius. Use the sanctuary's pillars to split them, then focus fire on Necromus first since it has lower defense. Once one falls, the other becomes significantly easier.
Dungeon Bosses
Palworld Mobile's procedural dungeons are scattered across the Palpagos Islands, identifiable by glowing purple portal entrances. Each dungeon has 3-5 floors of enemy encounters, loot chests, and environmental puzzles, capped by a boss room on the final floor. The dungeon boss is a random Alpha Pal adapted to the dungeon's biome theme. You might fight a Relaxaurus Lux in a desert dungeon or a Wumpo in an ice-themed dungeon.
Dungeon bosses are excellent sources of mid-game schematics, Pal Oil, skill fruits, and Paldium Fragments. Unlike Field Bosses, dungeon bosses do not drop Ancient Civilization Parts, but they have a higher chance to drop rare weapon schematics. Running dungeons is the fastest way to farm skill fruits, which let you teach active abilities to any Pal.
Key dungeon locations worth farming:
- Forgotten Island Dungeon (level 15-20) — southeast of the starting plateau. Good for early-level Essence of Skill Fruits and Intermediate Schematics.
- Desolate Cathedral Dungeon (level 25-30) — beneath the Desolate Church. Drops Cold Resistant armor schematics and ice-type Skill Fruits.
- Mount Obsidian Dungeon (level 40-45) — inside the volcano's outer ring. High chance of Advanced Schematics and fire-type Skill Fruits.
- Astral Abyss Dungeon (level 48-50) — far northern ice shelf. Endgame loot including Rare Legendary Schematic fragments.
How to Prepare for Boss Fights
Walking into a boss fight unprepared in Palworld Mobile is a quick way to lose your equipped items (if you die without retrieving your dropped loot bag). Here is a comprehensive preparation checklist that applies to every boss tier:
- Level check. Never fight a boss more than 5 levels above your character. The damage scaling penalty is steep — at 10 levels above, you deal roughly 40% less damage. Grind lower-level Field Bosses or catch Pals in the zone until you close the gap.
- Armor and weapons. Equip the highest tier armor you can craft. For early bosses, Cloth Armor is fine. For mid-game, Metal Armor with elemental resistance modifications. For endgame, Refined Metal Armor or Pal Metal Armor with +2 or +3 upgrades at the Weapon Workbench.
- Pal team composition. Bring five Pals with advantageous elemental matchups. Have at least two Pals with Tank work suitability to absorb damage while you reposition. Include one Pal with a healing partner skill (like Teafant or Lyleen) for sustain.
- Consumables. Carry 50+ Pal Spheres (appropriate tier for the boss level), 100+ arrows, 10-15 cooked meals with combat buffs (like +ATK or +DEF), and antidotes or thermal medicine depending on the boss biome.
- Base buffs. Activate your Palbox's defense buff if you have upgraded it. The Statue of Power at your base can also provide permanent stat boosts to all Pals in your party if you have deposited Lifmunk Effigies.
Elemental advantage is the single biggest force multiplier in boss fights. A Pal with double elemental advantage (e.g., Fire vs. Ice) deals roughly 2.5x damage and takes 0.5x damage. Check the Pal Types Chart before every boss encounter to optimize your team. Apply the element using the Pal Type Wheel feature on your Paldeck screen for quick reference during play.
Boss Rewards & Loot Table
Each boss tier drops specific types of loot. Understanding the loot table helps you prioritize which bosses to farm for the gear upgrades you need.
- Tower Bosses: First kill rewards include 5-10 Ancient Civilization Parts, a unique faction-specific hat cosmetic, and 500-2000 XP depending on the tower. Subsequent kills (if you replay on a different save or server) do not drop extra rewards.
- Field Bosses (Alpha Pals): 1-3 Ancient Civilization Parts per kill, 1-2 organs matching the Pal's element, a rare weapon or armor schematic (5-15% chance), and a Large Pal Soul guaranteed. Respawns every 24 in-game hours.
- Legendary Pals: 10-15 Ancient Civilization Parts, a Legendary-tier schematic (100% guarantee on first kill, lower on subsequent), the Legendary Pal itself if captured, and high-end materials like Pure Quartz and Pal Metal Ingots.
- Dungeon Bosses: Skill Fruits (1-3), Paldium Fragments (10-20), Intermediate to Advanced Schematics (varies by dungeon level), and a small chance of Ring of Mercy or Ring of Power accessories.
Ancient Civilization Parts are the most important boss-exclusive material. They are required to craft Legendary Spheres, the Grappling Gun (for mobility), the Shield generator, and high-tier armor modifications. Prioritize Field Boss farming early because you need 20 Ancient Civilization Parts for your first Legendary Sphere blueprint, then 30 more for the Refined Pal Metal Armor. A full farm route — Chillet, Penking, Grizzbolt, Elizabee, Kingpaca — takes about 30 minutes and yields 6-15 parts per cycle.
